Collateral inheritance taxes on estates, 24 November 1913-22 July 1921.

This volume contains accounts with estates, giving the names of the decedent, the value of the estate's land and personal property, and the amount of the tax due. Most of the estates appear to be in the city of Richmond. Loose material in the volume includes documentation of estates from the Chancery Court of the City of Richmond, and a Richmond City Treasurer's account for the year 1919, listing fees and taxes collected and disbursed for the "support of the government, schools, roads, and tuberculosis."

This is an artificial collection of records assembled from several sources, including governor's office letters received, Gereral Assembly records, and the office of the auditor of public accounts. Because most of the records appear to have been removed from the auditor's office, the collection has been shelved with the auditor's records pending further study.
